A Little Rain for Good Luck
The perfectly clear sky faded to dark gray and clouds of thunder rolled in right in the middle of Courtney and Andrew's wedding ceremony. "..Just 10 more minutes" I kept silently praying over and over. But surely it was too late.. mother nature had other plans. Within minutes, everybody including the bride and groom ran for the barn before the vows were even spoken. My heart BROKE for them.
The first floor of the barn filled with silence as guests took shelter from the rain. I looked to Courtney, horrified to see her upset or crying.. but, man was I wrong. The bride and groom were wet, holding hands, and laughing.. all while surrendering to God's plan. I have never seen a more humble or genuine couple.
Courtney and Andrew, I hope you embrace each and every storm that life faces you with as gracefully as one on your wedding day. I hope the sound and smell of rain makes you both smile for the rest of your lives. What a privilege it was to be your wedding photographer.❤️
