After all, we’re all only left with two things after the big day: A new cool ring, and wedding pictures. So, let’s plan for big moments. Ones that will make your family and friends literally DROP their jaws when they look at your wedding photos. Here are some seriously epic ideas that will ENSURE that you’re left with Pinterest viral-worthy photos!
HOW awesome is that? Now just imagine that same pic, except you’re the one standing there in a colored smoky bomb (in your wedding colors). These things cost anywhere from $5-$20. The more you have, the more dramatic the effect will be (There were probably 3-5 smoke bombs to create this photo). And NO, they don’t stain your dress. CLICK HERE to purchase one now.
While this one may not be as highly recommended for receiving lines (your venue may charge you for cleanup), We recommend this one for during the bridal party portrait session. This is such a fun way to involve your bridal party and get amazing shots of you and your best friends/new husband! Pro tip: The larger & lighter the confetti is, the better it will ‘fall’. CLICK HERE to buy the recommended size/amount!
Same concept…. buttttt, a little more feminine! Just ask your florist to box fresh petals for you! (Fake petals, Giant eagle petals, or even sacrificing a couple of bridesmaid bouquet flowers will suffice, too! No judgement here haha!)
Everyone’s favorite: Sparkler exits!!! Just make sure you have plenty of lighters so that everyone isn’t waiting around for a light while their sparkler is burning out! Pro tip: You don’t need one for every guest since about only 20-50 will make the shot! (50-100 will do). Let your DJ make the announcement & your photographer conduct the photo opp - you will thank yourself! CLICK HERE to buy 36-inch sparklers in bulk!
A SWEET RIDE.
Floral installations & greenery can push the budget, but if you can invest in them, expect BIG results from your wedding photography!!
I could share SO MANY PICTURES of puppies from weddings… But seriously, clients who include their fur children into their wedding photography are automatically my favorite. These are hands down my FAV pictures from my own wedding (We even had them made into Christmas cards hahah!!) Nominate a family friend, neighbor, or hire a dog handler to show up with your furry pal during the portrait session if your venue isn’t dog friendly :)
OK THAT’S ALL FOLKS that’s all I’ve got for today. Thanks so much for reading this thing! I hope it helped anyone who might be inspired to make more of their wedding photos (and make me a very happy photographer haha!!!)
